The drum artisans at Mapex match the finest, thinnest plies of North American Maple with a selection of dark, rich walnut. The result is a beautifully hand-crafted drum with a remarkably wide tonal range. The 4 piece Saturn kit is exacting enough for any and all studio applications and has been thoroughly road tested by nearly every professional artist on the Mapex roster.Every Saturn component on the SW4496U drum set is finished with eight hand-rubbed coats of high gloss lacquer. This unique finishing process gives the drum a beautifully deep, high gloss, protective shine.Saturn toms and snare drums are equipped with exclusive Mapex Powerhoops. Made from 2.3mm chrome steel, the Mapex Powerhoop provides less resistance without adding unnecessary weight that may mute the drum. The tom's mount is secured via the lugs and is not drilled directly into the shell. The Mapex I.T.S. System allows the shell to vibrate freely, allowing for maximum projection and resonance. Saturn floor I.T.S. tom legs are isolated from the shell and include spring loaded feet, that enhance sustain and increase projection.The bass drum's non-penetrating double tom holder features multi-directional adjustment for precise set-up. The tom holder mechanism is also completely removable for players that prefer tom stands. The Saturn's non-penetrating I.T.S. telescopic bass drum spurs isolate the shell from additional holes and distribute the weight of the drum across existing lug mounts. All maple, lacquer finished bass drum hoops are secured by low-profile, cushioned bass drum claw hooks.Mapex's low mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance.Saturn kits include double-braced 750-Series Mapex hardware. Sturdy, flexible and surprisingly lightweight, the 750 Series is ideal for touring players. All Saturn tom toms are equipped with Remo Emperor drumheads. |

The Minimoog Voyager Synthesizer is a monophonic (one note at a time) analog performance synthesizer. It incorporates virtually all of the sound resources and functions of the original Model D Minimoog, which was produced by Moog Music, Inc. from 1970 to 1982. It has many new additional features, including a three dimensional touch surface, MIDI IN and MIDI OUT implementation, extensive patching facilities, and a large number of new panel features. The signal path starts with a bank of three wide-range, high-stability voltage controlled oscillators, one noise source, and one audio preamplifier for externally-applied audio signals. The sound modifiers are two Moog filters and one stereo VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier). Modulation sources are two ADSR (Attack Decay Sustain Release) envelope generators and one multiwaveform LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator).Control devices include a 44-key keyboard with velocity and afterpressure outputs, pitch bend and modulation wheels, a three dimensional touch surface, and many control/pedal input jacks.The Voyager has a hinged, multi-position panel and a solid hardwood cabinet.
